The US Navy’s Birthday – This is the birthday of the United States Navy, a branch of the US Military who serves to make the seas safe for travel and trade. #Navy #USN
October 13, 1775 is when the Navy was founded. It is not a public holiday or even a government holiday. This celebration is held annually on the 13th of October.
Serving to protect the freedom of the seas, the Navy is another branch of the military that reports directly to the Department of Defense. Among its many missions, the U.S. Navy serves to make the seas safe for travel and trade.

My Dad and my Papaw both served in the US Navy. My dad was a Seabee and my papaw I believe was a gunner.
Thank you to all the men and women who have served or currently serving in any of our armed forces and their families too.
