The State of Tennessee’s Annual Sales Tax Holiday is held every year on the first Friday in August and ends the following Sunday night.

This year’s tax-free holiday weekend (2014) begins at 12:01 a.m on Friday, August 1 and ends Sunday, August 3 at 11:59 p.m.

  • Clothing $100 or less
  • School Supplies $100 or less
  • Computers $1,500 or less

This will be the great time to go buy the kids clothing and school supplies needed. There are certain limitations to each area. Check their web sites, links below.

You could also use this time to take someone in the church that may need help with school supplies and take their children shopping for the needed supplies. I personally know the struggle of being a single parent and not able to afford a lot. I am thankful for my church, my friends and even my family for the help they have given me. God provides!
