Lazarus Saturday

Duck, Duck, PIN!

Lazarus Saturday is a Christian feast day commemorating the resurrection of Lazarus of Bethany, as recounted in the Gospel of John. It falls on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week in the Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic liturgical calendars. The resurrection of Lazarus is seen as a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ’s own resurrection, which is celebrated on Easter Sunday. It is a day of both solemn reflection and anticipation of the upcoming events of Holy Week.

You can read the story in John 11.
