Haitians Still Get Their Praise On At Church Sunday. They didn’t let the Hurricane Matthew stop them by going to the building site of where their church walls use to stand. The Haitians got their praise on by worshiping, praying and singing.

These Haitians didn’t take for granted what we do in America. They still attended their church service despite ruins, deaths and illnesses. They put on their Sunday’s Best too. Not only did they worship and pray they also sang songs too. They honored God because they knew it could have been worse. They also honored God for sparring those that survived from this disaster.

Most of the churches had no roof, so they were at church with open sky. How many of use would still come to our church building and worship if the roof was blown off? How many churches here in America would have canceled services because of a terrible storm like Hurricane Matthew? I am sure most of them would. Not so for the churches here in Haiti. There was even a report of one church that set up an alter outside of the church building and had church there, because the building was so bad.
Elise Pierre, who said she was about 80, said she believed it was a divine miracle that she and her loved ones survived.
“If God wasn’t protecting us we’d all be gone today, blown into the ocean or up into the mountains,” said Pierre, whose straw hat almost concealed a gash on her forehead she sustained when her sheet metal roof collapsed during the height of Matthew’s fury.1

So inspirational…giving thanks and praising God in the face of such great hardship!
Psalm 136: O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Romans 5: 3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Amen to that show example of how we still must press on in hard times too
