Keep your home cooler with aluminum foil!

It is simple to do. Wrap one side of cardboard with aluminum foil. Put this on the inside of your home at window points with the aluminum foil facing outside.

The aluminum foil reflects the sun. Thus blocking the heat coming in too. This method pretty much makes blackout windows.

Usually you can get cardboard for cheap to free. Plus, aluminum can be cheap too.

Make sure to fully cover the windows to not allow any sunlight in.

Emergency management agencies specifically recommend using aluminum foil-covered cardboard that goes between windows and drapes.
